Many times Greyboy Pet Prints gets a request to come out to someone?s home to do a photo session because one of their animals is sick. They are not sure how much longer their companion might be a present part of their life as was the situation with this family. Meet ?Kitty,? one of the main reasons for this photo shoot:
I was told that Kitty was actually doing better than they had hoped. The news from the veterinarian was pretty bleak for Kitty, but Mom looked up some holistic treatments and found out a way to get Kitty eating. She was actually able to feed baby food and have Kitty get it down.
There are many other kitties in this home. Here are a few of the crew: Manta Ray, the orange and white tabby, doing what cats do best: playing and laying around! Next shown is Angel, the neutral one of the pack, just chilling out on the table so she can see outside without any further ado from the other kitties.
There are two semi-feral cats that live outside. We weren?t sure if we were going to be able to photograph them, but Buttercup and Calico came around and I moved slowly and quietly with my long zoom lens to get a few images. Here they are together in a high up spot where they feel safe ?(inside the patio cover):
This family also has two dogs, who are both collie mixes. Meet Willie and Lady! Here they are enjoying mom?s lap and relaxing on the patio where the concrete is cool. (I believe it was 100 degrees that day!)
We weren?t done yet! They also have two registered quarter horses. Of all the families I have photographed, I?believe this one sets a record for most pets (6 cats, 2 dogs and 2 horses)! I love that all of their pets are rescues.?One of their horses, Cinnamon the 28 year old!, was not ready for photographs, but Big Papa was. He was pretty anxious for dinner so we just got a few images of him. Handsome guy!
This concludes their pet photo session. While these are just a few of the images taken that day at their home in Mira Loma, I?m actually on my way soon to show them the rest of their images. It?s always fun to show clients their images and see which ones end up being their favorites. See you soon Jana!
